The Francis Bernard Caunt Education Trust

Francis Bernard Caunt was a resident of Newark who sadly passed away a widower without children or grandchildren. He decided to leave the bulk of his estate to create an educational trust fund that could help Newark residents and surrounding areas progress with their academic or vocational education.

The Trust Fund is administered by Trustees who will consider any application for a Grant against the following criteria:

  • This application form must be completed
  • The applicant should be aged between 16 and 25 years
  • The applicant should live in Newark or the surrounding areas and attend Newark schools or colleges or Southwell or Tuxford schools. The applicant must have attended one of those institutions in the previous eight years and for at least two years.

The applicant should intend to study either part-time or full-time for at least one year on a recognised academic/vocational course.

For more information or to apply, please get in touch with our office. The annual applications for a grant from The Francis Bernard Caunt Education Trust will close on 30th June 2024.
